Racing hits the radio
If there was ever a happier development on the Southern Utah sports radio scene, I know it hasn't happened in a long, long time.
Starting tomorrow, NASCAR fans won't have to buy a satellite radio to hear the races.
That's reason to celebrate the new season.
With the Daytona 500 less than 24 hours away, Sports Radio 1210 will broadcast all of the races broadcast by Motor Racing Network (MRN). Pre-race coverage of the 500 starts Sunday at 1:15 p.m.
One detail still in the works involves races at tracks owned by Speedway Motorsports. Beginning with the UAW-Dodge 400 in three weeks, the Performance Racing Network (PRN) will have all races at SMI tracks.
Stay tuned. 28 of 36 weeks will be aired so far. Here's to having all of them on the radio soon.
