T-Birds drop heartbreaker

SUU came within a missed 3-pointer of sweeping a home-and-home series with Weber State.

The T-Birds were out-rebounded 40-21 by Weber State, giving up 17 offensive rebounds.

But SUU still managed to build a 54-48 lead. But they managed just one basket in the final five minutes.

This loss is not crippling by any means, but the T-Birds could have built some major momentum with a victory. Still, the T-Birds are looking very good at 8-4 with three non-conference games to go, one on the road and two at home.

They get another chance on Friday in Orem against Utah Valley State.
