T-Bird Hoops vs. Utah thoughts

This won't be easy by any means.

I don't remember seeing SUU with such a height disadvantage.

The T-Birds have one player over 6-foot-7, and that's 7-2 Brad Kanis.

Utah has six.

Not good news for SUU, especially with 7-foot-1, 265-pound Australian center Luke Nevill plugging the middle for the Utes.

The T-Birds are going to have to play tough and use some athleticism if they want to hang with the Utes.

I'll be a the game on Friday. I'll be sure to check in afterward with some observations.

This is what is all about in Division I...I thought last year SUU had a very nice team but against most Division I teams they would be a distinct height disadvantage. I cannot put blame on this coach for confining his recruiting to the Utah boundaries like other SUU coaches have, I at least know he is trying. Just keep trying to recruit in all directions please.

Hey RJ is this open to comments on the SUU women B-Ballers? I was at the exhibition last night. AS I thought last year and even more so this year, we are physically weak, almost not even at a high school level. The Concordia women, NAIA, with five freshman were noticably stronger with and without the ball. I know the new coach didnt have a hand in recruiting some of these ladies BUT he did with some. THIS IS DIVISION I COLLEGE BASKETBALL, it is physical and not for the weak. It might a long year for the women. One added comment...new coach...too many plays!
